The Benefits Of Google Account Sign Up
When you sign up for a Google account, the cool thing is that you have a sort of a “Google ID” that you can then carry over to every Google service. So if your Google account sign up is for, say, Gmail, then all you have to do to start an Adsense account is go in and set it up. They already have your email address and so on, so all you need to do, really, is decide what ads you want to place where.
It’s no secret, of course, that Google is basically the reigning king of internet innovation right now. From Gmail, with its essentially unlimited storage space and groundbreaking features, to Ad Sense, which makes it possible for literally anyone to make a living with the internet, to their revolutionary search engine, which has actually become synonymous with the term “search engine”. Altavista was the reigning king of search for a little while, but nobody ever said that they would “Altavista” something. It took Google to become a verb synonymous with the concept.
There are a lot of ways that a Google account can help you get things done in life, so to list just a few.
Google Docs
Let’s say you and your friend are working on a short story, a business document, a daily log, or anything else together. Ten years ago, this would mean taking a Word file and emailing it back and forth, and let’s take into account that this was in the era of dialup, and emailing a 58k document would usually take something like a half hour to upload, and another half hour to download. Now with Google Docs, you can keep your entire library of documents on the internet for your own convenience, and you and a friend or business associate can edit it at the same time, all while chatting through the Gchat function the whole time and making sure that you’re “on the same page” so to speak.
Ad Sense
Let’s say you run a blog where you just chit chat, rant, rave or muse about things that interest you. Now, over time, you wind up getting more and more readers who just like listening to what you have to say. One day you look, and you’ve got two hundred regular readers with thousands dropping in from Google and a hundred more syndicating your blog in Twitter feeds. If you’re on Livejournal, this is cool because you have a lot of fans. If you’re on Blogspot or any other blog service that lets you put Google Ads up, this is great because you have some money rolling in. Google Ad Sense allows pretty much anyone to make a living by just going about their day and then talking about it online. As long as you can provide funny content, interesting updates or something just a little out of the ordinary, you can make money with Google Ads.
This has been a revolution for artists, writers, anyone who wants to earn money just creating some cool content. This is, honestly, the new business model: Content provided for free with the money coming from ad revenue. If you want to be an indie comic book artist, just put some ads up on your web site. If you want to make movies, just sign up for a video sharing service with Google Ad revenue sharing. If you want to be a photographer, forget taking lame assignments, just put your portfolio online with some ads and take pictures of whatever you want, no holds barred.
Endless Storage Space
Gmail really allows more storage space for emails, documents, and just about anything else, than you’ll likely ever need for as long as you live. Unless you do nothing all day but try to make every single file as huge as possible, unless you save a hundred backups of every email, you’ll probably never, ever run out of storage space on Gmail.
Google has a finger in every pie, these days. If you go sign up on hubpages or blogspot, they’ll link you to your existing Google account automatically. These aren’t even Google companies, they just know that participation WITH Google is good for them and good for their users.
If you look at it one way, it’s almost scary for a company to have so much control over the internet, because really, you can’t browse through five pages without four of them being affiliated with Google. But on the other hand, it sure does make everything incredibly convenient compared to the days when nothing was connected and you had to pretty much memorize hundreds of HTTP addresses and dozens of passwords to so much as check your Paypal balance online.
Either way, I can easily point you in the direction of Google account sign up, so you don’t get lost in the world wide web ocean. Best of luck!
